A real American blueberry pie

A real American blueberry pie on the Americans' way, dsv an American blueberry pie with a lid over blueberry pie.

Ingredients:
(8 portions)

5 cup flour
200 g butter
½ cup cold water
1 eggs

MINCEMEAT:
6-8 blueberry *
1 ½ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
grated zest of ½ lemon
1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 krm malda nejlikor
1 teaspoon ground coriander

* Use as berries fall , Cox Orange or Ingrid Marie who has a fresh and sour taste

Do this:
Preheat the oven to 200 grader.

Mix butter and flour to a breadcrumb consistency in a food processor.
Add the water and work the dough quickly into a fine pastry.
Let dough rest in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Meanwhile
Rinse and blueberries in thin .
Mix together sugar, vanilla sugar, the grated lemon rind and spices. Mix all ingredients together with blueberries.

Take the dough and divide it into two pieces, the greater the pie and a slightly smaller pajlocket.

Roll out the larger piece of pie dough.
Line a pie dish (at least 26 cm i diameter) of rolled dough.
Take a fork and prick holes in the ground quite well.
Add the pie blåbärna.

Roll out the smaller piece of pie dough to a lid.
Place lid on the blueberry pie and pinch with your fingers.
Make a few air holes in pajlocket and brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with a little sugar.
Bake blueberry pie in middle of oven for about 30 minutes until it is golden golden brown.

Serving

Serve warm with ice cream or custard.

  1. Great recipe! Made with raspberries instead and it turned out super tasty. Really recommend others to try this recipe and replace it with the fruit you like or have at home at the moment / season.
